This study evaluates a magneto-rheological brake designed for passenger vehicles, focusing on reducing non-exhaust emissions such as particulate matter. A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is conducted across raw material extraction, manufacturing, use, and end-of-life stages. Results show that the innovative system reduces environmental impact, especially during use and maintenance, and offers strong potential for future sustainable braking technologies, despite higher complexity in production.
